Mystays Opens “Hotel Aso no Tsukasa” with a View of the Five Aso Mountains. It has a total of 209 rooms and a natural hot spring spa.

Mystays Hotel Management has commenced operations of Hotel Aso no Tsukasa (formerly Aso no Tsukasa Villa Park Hotel & Spa Resort) (1230 Kurokawa, Aso City, Kumamoto Prefecture).

This resort hotel is located in the midst of nature and overlooks the five Aso mountains, including Mt. Nakadake, which is still actively volcanic, Mt. It is a 15-minute walk from JR Aso Station, which is adjacent to Michi no Eki Aso, and a 40-minute drive from Aso Kumamoto Airport.

There are a total of 209 guest rooms, including Western-style rooms, Japanese-style rooms, and maisonette-type rooms, all of which offer views of the outer rim of the mountain and the countryside. The hotel has a large natural hot spring bath, an outdoor hot spring bath, an observatory bath, and a family bath, and the indoor hot spring spa “Kua Resort Omer” can be enjoyed in swimsuits all year round. In addition, there is a buffet restaurant serving local cuisine and fresh local produce.

The Aso region is located in the eastern part of Kumamoto Prefecture, near the border with Towa and Miyazaki prefectures. The Aso Caldera is one of the largest in the world, with 1,000-meter mountains rising in the center. The history and culture of the people living inside the caldera have attracted international attention, and the Aso area is expected to be registered as a World Cultural Heritage site based on the theme of the symbiosis between volcanoes and humans.

The Aso Mountains are blessed with high-quality hot springs and water sources, and in 2014, the area was recognized as a member of the UNESCO World Geoparks Network as the “Aso Geopark.
