JAL will support credit card recharges for JAL Pay, a payment service attached to the JAL Mileage Bank application, starting today, April 2.
In addition to the existing charge methods of account transfer from JAL NEOBANK and SBI Sumishin Net Bank, miles, Internet banking, and bank transfers, credit cards with instant charge capability will be available.
Compatible credit cards include JAL Card (except JAL American Express Card), as well as Mastercard, JCB, and Diners brands other than JAL Card. Charged balances can be used at Mastercard merchants worldwide, QUICPay+ merchants in Japan, Smart Code merchants, and JAL Pay merchants (JAL in-flight sales, JAL PLAZA airport stores, etc.).
In addition, a campaign to commemorate the introduction of credit card recharges will be held from April 2 to June 30. During this campaign, customers who use credit card recharge and JAL Pay payment will earn up to 2.2% miles, compared to the usual maximum of 1.2%.
