Oedo Onsen Monogatari Hotels & Resorts will reopen the Oedo Onsen Monogatari Hotel Soukan as the Oedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Hotel Soukan (1-1, Isozaki Aza Hama, Matsushima-cho, Miyagi-gun, Miyagi Prefecture) on July 15. Prior to this, hotel reservations began today, April 2.
The “Oedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Series,” which will be available nationwide from 2023, is popular for its lounge, where alcohol and soft drinks can be freely enjoyed at any time, and its gourmet buffet breakfast and dinner.
Oedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Hotel Soukan, the first hotel to open in the Tohoku region, will feature a new lounge with large windows and a fireplace, taking advantage of its location overlooking Matsushima Bay, one of the three most scenic spots in Japan. Some of the 133 guestrooms have been transformed into “Japanese Modern Rooms,” and the hot spring baths have been made more comfortable by installing partitions in the floor, walls, and washing areas.
The renovated restaurant offers freshly prepared dishes from a live kitchen and a wide variety of Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes, including Sendai’s famous beef tongue, all-you-can-eat sashimi, meat dishes, sushi, Haagen-Dazs ice cream, and more.
Room rates start at 18,900 yen per person (based on two adults per room), and a commemorative opening plan that includes a buffet dinner and two meals per night is also available.
