Seiko Watch will release the “Classic Series” from the Seiko Presage line on June 8. Two types of models will be offered: a three-hand model (SARX121/123/125) with date display and an open heart model (SARJ007/009), priced from 132,000 yen to 154,000 yen.
This new series is inspired by the “beauty of use” of colors, materials, and textures used in Japanese crafts and clothing. The case is made of dual-curved glass, and the dial has a silky texture with a molded pattern. It measures 40.2 mm in outer diameter (excluding the crown) and 13.0 mm in thickness.
The multi-row bracelet, developed based on the design of wristwatches common in the 1970s, is said to be flexible and comfortable to wear while reducing the area in contact with the skin by adopting rounded, fine koma on both sides.
The colors include “shiroiro,” which is the color of the fiber itself, “sumiiro,” which was used for monks’ clothing, and traditional Japanese colors such as “sensai-icha” and “araigaki,” which were popular during the Edo period.
