JR East and View Card will offer the digital financial service “JRE BANK” from May 9, 12:00 pm. An account opening campaign is also planned.
Aiming to expand the JRE POINT living area, Viewcard will conclude various contracts as Rakuten Bank’s banking agent, and Rakuten Bank account holders will also be able to open JRE BANK accounts. However, JRE BANK accounts cannot be linked to Rakuten ID or earn Rakuten Points.
The JRE BANK app allows users to open an account and access banking services provided by Rakuten Bank, including transfers, deposit and withdrawal statements, time and foreign currency deposits, and mortgage loans.
With the launch of the service, cash cards with JCB brand debit function will also be issued (no debit function for those under 16 years old). 1 point will be given for every 500 yen for those over 20 years old / 1 point for every 200 yen for those under 20 years old.
