Oedo Onsen Monogatari Hotels & Resorts rebranded Oedo Onsen Monogatari Hotel Kisoji and opened it as TAOYA Kisoji (2278 Agatsuma, Nagiso-cho, Kiso-gun, Nagano Prefecture) on April 15.
TAOYA is a hot spring resort hotel brand that introduces an all-inclusive service that includes meals and on-site services in the room rate. The inn, the sixth in Japan, is located approximately 40 minutes from Nakatsugawa Station and 15 minutes from Minami-Kiso Station by free shuttle bus.
Inspired by the mountains of Kiso and the forestry industry that flourished in the Edo period, 19 of the 90 guest rooms were renovated into modern Japanese-style rooms.
In addition, a new fireplace lounge is located at the end of the open-air lobby with a vaulted ceiling. Visitors can freely enjoy coffee, soft drinks, beer, wine, soft-serve ice cream, and other beverages.
The hot spring water is characterized by its thick, lotion-like quality. It is equipped with an open-air bath made of rocks and full of natural beauty, and in spring, visitors can enjoy bathing while viewing the illumination of weeping cherry blossoms.
A buffet dinner is served at the KIRIKO restaurant. The menu includes a variety of dishes such as roast beef, a specialty of the restaurant, and a dish using local seasonal ingredients such as Shinshu miso and bamboo shoot ahi jio. The restaurant also offers freshly prepared dishes from the live kitchen and alcoholic beverages such as Kiso’s local sake and Shiojiri wine, all on an all-inclusive basis, allowing guests to enjoy them without hesitation.
The room rate is 22,200 yen per person (based on two adults per room).
