On May 8, JORDAN announced “Norikae Guide version 6,” a major update of its “Norikae Guide” application for smartphones.
The goal is to create a MaaS-enabled route search application that not only searches public transportation routes, but also includes new modes of transportation such as rental cars and shared bicycles, and covers everything from search to reservations and sightseeing.
The main feature is the “Outing Contents” on the top screen of the application. Sightseeing spots nationwide covered by the transfer guide service are introduced, and can be searched by selecting an area from a list or map. Once you select a sightseeing spot you are interested in, you can search for a route from your current location with a single tap.
Direct reservations can now be made for Shinkansen, airplane, and private limited express train flights displayed in the search results from the transfer information application in conjunction with the reservation sites of the respective operators.
In the future, the company plans to actively feature tourism products and coupons as planning tickets and regional excursion passports after arrival in the area using the Shinkansen and airplanes.
In addition, the search engine was expanded to include new modes of transportation such as shared cabs, car sharing, shared bicycles, and kickboards in the route search. The company is currently working with businesses and municipalities that are developing these businesses.
