JAL and JR Hokkaido have announced that they will operate the “HOKKAIDOLOVE! Hitomeguri-go,” a sightseeing train that will take passengers on a “one-stop tour” of Hokkaido.
The JAL Furusato Ambassadors, JAL CAs in charge of the Hokkaido region, were involved in this tour from the planning stage. The project includes a variety of ideas to make travel time more enjoyable, such as original in-train announcements designed by the ambassadors and quiz competitions on trains and airplanes.
In addition to the East-Hokkaido tour by “Hamanasu” train, which was held in 2021, this year’s tour will also include the “Hanasaki Line (Kushiro to Nemuro)” by “Lavender” train and the “Wakkanai to Hakodate” course, which will travel across Hokkaido. Under the concept of “One train, one tour. The “JAL Furusato Ambassadors” and “JAL Furusato Ouen-tai” will also join the tour on the day of the tour to liven up the train trip.
The courses will be available from mid-May from Club Tourism, from mid-June from JTB Media Retailing, and from late June from JALPAC.
