The hotel is located on the waterfront at the confluence of the Neyagawa River and the Okawa River, and the interior design of the hotel is based on the concept of “Osaka, the City of Water. The hotel’s interior design is based on the concept of “Osaka, the city of water.” The hotel’s interior design incorporates the characteristic diamond-shaped pattern of the Hishigakikaisen, merchant ships that traveled between Osaka and Edo during the Edo period, and the carpet is designed to resemble a harbor in the shape of a wave. The corridor from the lobby to the guest room elevator hall is reminiscent of a jetty, creating the illusion of touring Osaka by boat.
Restaurant SEN offers an Osaka-style menu. Restaurant SEN serves buffet-style dishes, but also offers a la carte dishes. The buffet offers a wide variety of Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes, as well as freshly baked breads, fruits, and sweets. An interesting feature is the “Omoroi Corner,” where takoyaki, an Osaka specialty, was being grilled and served on the spot at the time of our visit. It is amazing that hot takoyaki can be eaten at a hotel. Incidentally, a giant octopus is depicted in the background of a private room in the restaurant. The restaurant is open from 6:30 to 10:00 for breakfast buffet, 11:30 to 14:30 for lunch buffet, 14:30 to 17:30 for cafe, 17:30 to 21:00 for dinner buffet, and 11:30 to 22:00 for a la carte.
