Shizuhama Air Base (1602 Kamikosugi, Yaizu, Shizuoka Prefecture) of the Air Self-Defense Force will hold the “Shizuhama Air Base Air Festival 2024” on May 19 (9:00-15:00).
The Blue Impulse, an aerobatic squadron belonging to the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, as well as T-7, UH-60J, T-4, T-400, F-2, F-15, and Whiskey Dad will perform display flights and formation runs. The official website informs that the flight time of the Blue Impulse is from 11:40 to 12:10.
In addition, there will be ground displays, equipment displays, food, drink, and goods for sale, and admission and viewing is free. On the day of the event, a free shuttle bus will be available from Yaizu New Port (bus stop), a 15-minute walk from the south exit of JR Yaizu Station.
The day before the event, May 18, from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., a pre-flight by the Blue Impulse is scheduled to take place.
