Seibu Railway to Commemorate 100th Anniversary of Kiyose Station by Running Wrapped Cars and Selling Commemorative Train Tickets and Accesskey Sets

Posted on 2024-05-232024-06-07 by Editor in Chief

Seibu Railway and Kiyose City will start running wrapped trains and selling commemorative tickets on June 11 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Kiyose Station.

The “Kiyose Station 100th Anniversary Commemorative Train” is based on a reprint of the former Seibu Railway wrapping train currently in service, and features the official logo of the Kiyose Station 100th Anniversary Commemorative Project, previous Kiyose Station buildings, and Kiyose City’s official character “Nin-nin-kun”.

The train will be in operation from June 11 to March 31, 2025. The Ikebukuro Line, Toshima Line, Sayama Line, and Seibu-Chichibu Line will be in operation, and the “Seibu Line App” will tell you where the wrapped cars are running.

Inside the train cars, the winning works from the “Kiyose Station Painting and Photography Contest” will be displayed until September 2 as the “Kiyose Station 100th Anniversary Train Gallery.

In addition, a commemorative ticket set (1,500 yen) is available at Kiyose Station in a limited edition of 3,000 sets. The set includes two commemorative tickets (one PET ticket and one D-type hard ticket) on a printed photo base showing the history of the station from the first to the third station building, and an original station name sign acrylic key chain.

Sales will run from 10:00 a.m. on June 11 to the close of business on August 31.

In addition, an original curry (594 yen) using Kiyose City’s specialty sweet corn from Yoshimoto Kogyo’s “Yoshimoto Curry” will go on sale at the Seminar House in Kiyose Keyaki Hall (1-6-6 Motomachi, Kiyose City, Tokyo) from June 9 at 11:00 a.m. Pre-sales will begin at the same time.

General sales will begin at 9:00 a.m. on June 11 and will be available at the Seibu Railway Online Shop, Ceeky’store, and Yoshimoto Entertainment Shop.

The original curry will be given away to 15 people selected by lottery from among those who use a PASMO registered with the SEIBU PRINCE CLUB to enter the automatic ticket gate at Kiyose Station between June 9 and 16.
