Disney Store Tokyo Disney Resort and Disney Flagship Tokyo are currently decorating their stores to Donald Duck’s specifications to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Donald Duck’s screen debut on June 9.
Anniversary Collection also launches today, May 24. You can get plenty of limited edition goods in blue, white, yellow and Donald colors & special designs.
At the Tokyo Disney Resort Store, the mood is festive from the moment you enter the entrance. Artwork depicting Donald from his screen debut “Clever Mendoli,” “The Three Knights,” and other representative works, as well as his appearance from his birth to the present, and a photo spot where visitors can enjoy taking pictures with three-dimensional objects are on display. You can also enjoy a photo booth where you can take pictures with three-dimensional objects and a gimmick that allows you to hear his voice when you press a button.
There is also a photo spot in the store where you can take trick art photos of Donald Duck celebrating with balloons. Visitors can also take a mini quiz on the “Duck Family Tree” panel. Also, look up and you will see blue flags decorating the tree, creating a more festive atmosphere.
There is also a “Message Corner” where you can write your feelings for Donald Duck. Write your message on a heart-shaped card and place it in the box. This is also a fun little photo spot. If you look closely, you will also see congratulatory messages from Cast Members.
Original cards celebrating the 90th anniversary have been added to the regular “Disney Store Rock-Paper-Scissors” game. You can get one by playing “Aiko,” so be sure to give it a try.
