A wide variety of glamping buildings are available. THE FARM has a variety of accommodations, but this time we chose glamping. Glamping includes Riverside, Athletic, Family Suite, Cliff Suite, Villa, Forest, and Grand Terrace, all located along the river. This time, I chose “Athletic” near the Kid’s Park, which includes a playground complex, to let my son play to his heart’s content. The entrance has a bouldering wall and a special slide to tickle the children’s fancy. Although there are only three buildings, this is a good choice for families with children. The tents are located on wooden decks, and the space in front is covered and has a table for enjoying BBQ. The tent in the back is compact but has a relaxed atmosphere, and can accommodate up to four people. 2 semi-double beds (120cm wide), a sleeping mat for a sleeping bag, and 2 sets of sleeping bags are provided. THE FARM is equipped with free Wi-Fi. I had no problems with internet access during my stay. Passwords are provided at each facility, including the glamping lounge, which serves as a check-in window, so you can use it as soon as you arrive.
Cottage building in the campground THE FARM has a “campground in the farm” where visitors can enjoy camping. For beginners, a plan is available to rent a large Snow Peak tent, tarp, table, and all other camping equipment, as well as a plan limited to one group per day that includes staff assistance in setting up the tent. The company also offers a variety of cottages, including pet-friendly cottages and cottages with barrel saunas. In December 2023, HABITA will also launch “HABITA” with online self check-in. The ability to choose from a variety of accommodations to meet your needs is one of the attractions of THE FARM.
Harvesting at the Farm, Mini Zoo, and Free Activities The main attraction at THE FARM is the harvesting experience that only a farm resort can offer. Visitors can harvest a variety of vegetables depending on the season, and it is a popular activity for both adults and children. The original character “Yasai-chan” guides visitors to the fields to harvest several kinds of vegetables. THE FARM grows about 60 items and 100 kinds of vegetables, and visitors can harvest three kinds of seasonal vegetables. Guests are basically allowed to take home one bag of vegetables free of charge per building. When we visited in late April, the vegetables included sunny lettuce, turnips, and radishes, and my son tried his hand at harvesting them with the advice of “Yasai-chan,” a guide. Yasai-chan is a vegetable expert who can tell you about the characteristics of the vegetables, how to harvest them, and even recommend cooking methods, so feel free to ask her any questions you may have. There is also a mini zoo with ponies and goats in the corner of THE FARM farm, where visitors can feed the animals. You can feed the animals by plucking grass that grows along the roadside, and there is no charge for this service. Vegetables are not allowed because they contain too much water. This corner is a must-see for animal lovers. Another nice thing about THE FARM is that it has playground equipment for children. Right in front of the athletic building where we stayed, there is a kids’ park with a Tarzan rope and playground equipment. In the riverside area, there is a jabu-jabu pond where children can play with water guns on hot days. Even if you get soaked, you can use the showers in the nearby glamping lounge to refresh yourself. THE FARM also offers a wide variety of paid activities. Various types of activities are available, including ziplining, bushcraft, fire-making, canoe touring, kukuza, photo frame making, and more.
