Nine Hours will open its 13th capsule hotel under the brand, Nine Hours Shinagawa Station Sleep Lab Powered by NTT DATA, on August 9.
It will be located on the first floor of the Aarea Shinagawa Building (1-9-36 Konan, Minato-ku, Tokyo), directly connected to the Konan Exit of JR Shinagawa Station, operated by NTT Data, and will have a total of 70 beds (men only).
The Nine Hours capsule hotel features “9h sleep fitscan,” a service that analyzes the user’s sleep. all of the 360-degree body-wrapping capsule units are equipped with highly functional sensors that collect and analyze data during sleep using an infrared camera, sound-collecting microphone, and body motion sensor. Users can receive a sleep report at a later date that shows the number of times and duration of heart rate, snoring, and apnea, without the need for any equipment to be worn during sleep.
In collaboration with NTT Data, the hotel will also utilize state-of-the-art sensor technology, such as deep body temperature sensors, and is planning to expand the number of outlets using the hotel as a cutting-edge model case.
