APA Hotel has begun accepting applications from the general public for the “APA Hotel Original Willow” for the fifth time this year in conjunction with the “APA Willow 2025” event. The period is from June 3 to September 30.
The APA Hotel & Resort Kataoyamazu Onsen Keisuigo, a hot spring hotel in Ishikawa Prefecture, was the venue for the second game of the 9th Eioh Match, and the APA Kawayagi 2025 contest called for original willow poems with the theme of “sightseeing” that included the two characters “Ko” and “Ma” in the phrase, referring to the shogi (Japanese chess) pieces.
APA Hotel President Fumiko Motoya will select one entry for the “APA Hotel President Award,” three others for the “Watching General Award,” “Hatsumu Dream Award,” and “Green Resort Award,” and 40 selected entries for the “Honorable Mention Award,” which will be completed in 50 syllables (excluding “・”). A total of 44 winners will receive prizes worth a total of 1 million yen. In addition, 200 points will be awarded to entrants via APA Hotel’s official app (Android/iOS version).
The works will be announced in early January 2025, and the prizes will be shipped in early March or later.
