Casio Computer Co., Ltd. will release the GBD-300, which can record workouts, from the G-SQUAD series, G-SHOCK’s sports line, on July 5. It will be priced at 25,300 yen.
This shock-resistant watch has an octagonal form with a compact design that enhances wearing comfort, and is equipped with distance and step measurement functions. It is available in three colors: black, white, and orange.
The shock-resistant construction with the center case sandwiched between two bezels has been adopted to achieve a slimmer design. In addition, the bumper bezel on the back is curved to reduce interference with the back of the hand. The back of the joint between the soft urethane band and bezel has a variable cover part to improve the fit on the wrist.
The area where the band touches the skin is decorated with dots and grains to prevent slipping and sticking to the skin when sweating.
With the dedicated “G-SHOCK MOVE” application, users can check their step count, calorie consumption life log, and activity history. In addition, a vibration function notifies the user of incoming phone calls and e-mails, and allows the user to locate his or her smartphone.
