JR Tokai Retailing Plus will release Sujata Ice Cream “Melon Ice Cream” on July 1 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Tokaido Shinkansen.
In an effort to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Tokaido Shinkansen on October 1, the company will reissue a limited edition melon ice cream that was originally sold in July 2013.
In 2013, it was an iced milk, but now it has been brushed up. By combining puree from Shizuoka Prefecture-grown crown melons, fresh raw milk, and fresh cream from Hokkaido, the melon ice cream has been made with the mild sweetness of milk.
Sales are available at the mobile order service of “Nozomi” and “Hikari” green cars, vending machines in the Tokaido Shinkansen ticket gates and at the south transfer entrance of Shinagawa Station, some stores including “DELICA STATION” at Tokyo – Shin-Osaka Station and the Linear & Railway Museum, and the official online store.
The vending machines at stations will start selling them as soon as they are ready, and the JR-PLUS online store will start selling them on July 1 at 10:00 a.m. Priced at 430 yen per piece, the online store will carry 6-packs (4,150 yen) and 11-packs (5,780 yen).
