Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture, has announced the details of the Blue Impulse display flight to be held at the Kawasaki Leap Festival on June 29.
To commemorate the 100th anniversary of Kawasaki City, a specialized team from the Air Self-Defense Force will fly over Todoroki Ryokuchi (1-1 Todoroki, Nakahara-ku, Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture). The outbound flight will take off from Iruma Air Base at around 14:10, and will pass over Aso, Tama and Miyamae wards in the city. After that, the performance flight will be performed from around 14:20 to 14:40. On the return flight, the aircraft will fly over Nakahara, Takatsu, and Tama wards in the city, and is scheduled to land at Iruma Air Base at around 14:50.
Also, the outdoor music event “Kawasaki 100 Fest” (charged), which will be held as part of the Kawasaki Leap Festival, will feature a special performance in conjunction with the Blue Impulse. Since crowds are expected to gather around the Todoroki Greenbelt on the day of the festival, it is recommended to enjoy the event in a relaxed atmosphere at the festival site, where all seats are reserved.
On the 28th, the day before the flight, a pre-flight is scheduled to be conducted at approximately the same time and along the same route.
