Park24 has completely cardless service for individual members of its car sharing service, Times Car, since June 26.
Previously, a member needed to carry a membership card to use a Times Car, but now only a smartphone app is required to use Times Car. The company has achieved this by developing a function that allows users to unlock and lock vehicle doors with the Times Car app and by improving the communication environment at stations.
With the change to cardless, new cardholders can now choose whether or not to have a card issued when they enroll in the “Quick Enrollment” or “Add Family Member” programs. If no card is issued, an issuance fee of 1,650 yen is not required.
In addition, preferential privileges at the drive-in check-in service and the use of Times points at Times parking, which were provided with the membership card, can be used with the digital membership card of the Times Grub App.
However, a membership card is required for “Hayakaken Registration” and “JAL Pitto GO”, which allows rental vehicles to be rented at stores with a JAL Card.
