NEXCO West Japan will close the uphill section of the Higashi-Kyushu Expressway (E10) between the Ajimuin IC and the Usa IC from 23:00 on July 3 to 4:00 the following night due to emergency pavement repair work.
Due to the road closure, motorists are urged to detour using Prefectural Routes 42, 625, National Routes 387 and 10. The detour is approximately 12 km long and takes about 20 minutes.
Tolls are also adjusted for vehicles that bypass general roads and transfer in the same direction. The designated outbound interchanges are the Oita Agricultural Culture Park IC and the Anshin IC, while the re-inbound interchanges are the Usa IC, Nakatsu IC, Jomo Smart IC, Buzen IC, Shiida Minami IC, and Shiida IC.
ETC will be adjusted if you pass through the toll booth as is, while cash, etc. will be adjusted if you receive an “Expressway Transit Certificate” at the exit and time it at the time of re-entry. If the tollgate attendant is not available, the toll will be applied when the transfer certificate and the entrance ticket are inserted into the machine in that order.
