Shinobazuno Pond in Ueno Onshi Park is divided into three parts: Cormorant Pond (a pond inhabited by waterfowl), Lotus Pond, and Boat Pond. The lotus pond is a feast for the eyes during this time of the year when summer arrives, with the lotus flowers in full bloom.
Whenever I visit Shinobazunoike Pond, I always pay a visit to Shinobazunoike Oratorendo and then walk around the ponds. During the lotus season, when the pond is in full bloom, I mainly visit the lotus pond, which is home to many waterfowl, so I find it relaxing to take a short break while watching them. No matter how many times I visit, I am always delighted by the variety of scenery, so it is a good place to take a walk while taking pictures or testing out the camera.
The lotus flowers open in the morning and close in the afternoon, so if you want to see the lotus flowers in their open state, come early in the morning to see the beautiful flowers. On the day this photo was taken, I arrived at 7:00 am.
Shinobazunoike Pond is a short walk from JR “Ueno” and “Okachimachi” stations and “Ueno-Hirokoji” subway station, so it is a place to visit throughout the four seasons.
