Coleman is developing products for summer activities to make camping, picnics, swimming, and other activities more comfortable in extremely hot weather.
The Tuff Screen 2 Room Air/MDX+ (98,780 yen) from the Air Series of high-functionality tents uses darkroom technology with fabrics with excellent light-shielding properties to block more than 90% of sunlight and cut 99.9% of UV rays, preventing awakening due to heat and glare. It also features the Circle Ventilation Wide Air System, which allows heat and humidity to escape and cool breezes to enter, creating a comfortable sleeping space even in summer camps.
A “reversible fan ventilation” (sold separately for 4,400 yen) is also available, which can be attached to the tent ceiling to serve as a fan as well as to exhaust hot air from the room and further enhance air circulation.
For park camping, the company recommends shade products that use Darkroom Technology and Sumitomo Chemical-developed Olytec Mesh technology. In addition to blocking sunlight, the wide mesh allows heat and humidity to escape and brings in cool breezes, making it suitable for day leisure activities such as parks and beaches. The Olytec mesh material also contains active ingredients that repel insects. The ingredients are safe for humans and animals, making it easy to use for children and pets. The lineup includes “Quick Up IG Shade+” (11,880 yen) and “Screen IG Shade+” (12,980 yen).
The company is also developing a party shade that can be used as a sunshade for all kinds of day leisure activities such as BBQs and sports. The “Party Shade Light/360+” (43,780 yen), which can be set up by one person thanks to its self-supporting frame, has a structure that allows wind to escape, and can be used to prevent heat stroke as it also uses darkroom technology. When used in combination with the Sidewall for Party Shade DX/360+ (4,400 yen), it can also be used to block sunlight from the sides and the ground.
The Instant Visor Shade II/L+ (19,580 yen), a party shade made of the same material, is easy to set up by simply opening it, and the model offers compact storage for easy movement and storage. The “Full Flap for Instant Visor Shade/L+” (4,400 yen), which prevents sunlight from coming in from the side, is also sold separately.
Other Coleman products include the Healing Chair NX HB Mesh (beige) (7,150 yen), a mesh fabric with breathability; the Ultimate Ice Cooler II/35L (glaze) (9,460 yen), a compact foldable soft cooler with approximately 49 hours of cooling power; the Midsummer Outdoor Rechargeable Fan” (11,880 yen), which sends a cool breeze in camping and BBQ scenes.
