In response to a request from the government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will provide emergency relief supplies as follows.

On July 1, 2024 local time, Hurricane Beryl made landfall in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, causing extensive damage mainly to the southern outlying islands.

Bequia Island (Bequia): 10-20% of houses damaged. Airport facilities are maintained.
Mustique Island: Minimal damage. Airport and pier facilities maintained.
Canouan Island: The airport runway has been removed and is operational. 90% of the houses in the neighborhood were damaged.
Mayreau: 90% of houses damaged.
Union Island (Union): 90% of homes severely damaged or collapsed.
