Hanshin Expressway has announced traffic congestion forecasts for the Bon vacation period (August 8-18). Since traffic congestion is expected to be heavier than usual on some routes, the company is urging drivers to change their routes and use dates and times.

Traffic congestion on the Route 3 Kobe Route will peak on August 10 in the direction of Himeji (westbound) and August 14 in the direction of Osaka (eastbound). Traffic congestion is expected to be up to approximately 31 km near the Naya JCT to Nishinomiya Interchange on the Daini-Shinmei Road and up to approximately 21 km near the Ashiya to Daini-Shinmei Road junction.

In the Hyogo area, please check the latest road traffic information on the Hanshin Expressway’s Route 3 Kobe and Route 7 Kita-Kobe routes, as well as the Chugoku Expressway (E2A) and Shin-Meishin (E1A) for routes with less congestion.
