Vietnam Airlines Japan Branch will hold a “Cartoon Contest” until July 31, starring a new mascot that debuted to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the airline’s service to Japan.

The new mascots are Ruler, a boy who looks like an Airbus A350, Neo, a girl who looks like an A321neo, and Paper Plane, a young boy with a paper airplane. Original stories featuring them, such as adventures and travelogues connecting Japan and Vietnam, are invited on any theme. Stories can be based on the surprises and joys actually experienced in Vietnam, or even stories in which the mascots fly around places you would like to visit.

The grand prize winner (one pair of two people) selected from among the entries will receive a free pair of round-trip economy class tickets to Vietnam. The winner will be eligible to fly on the Narita/Centrair/Kansai/Fukuoka – Ho Chi Minh City/Hanoi route, Narita – Da Nang route, and Haneda – Hanoi route, arriving and departing by December 21, 2012.

In addition, the three winners of the Excellence Award will receive an assortment of original goods from Vietnam Airlines.

To apply, follow at least one of Vietnam Airlines’ official SNS (Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok) and fill out the dedicated form with a cartoon story and necessary information. The application period is until 23:59 on July 31. Winners will be notified by DM around mid-August.

Vietnam Airlines, a member of the SkyTeam alliance, currently operates state-of-the-art aircraft such as the Boeing 787-9/10, Airbus A350-900, and Airbus A321neo/A320neo on a total of 100 routes connecting 21 domestic and 30 overseas destinations in Vietnam.

On Japan routes, the airline offers service from five cities (Narita, Haneda, Centrair (Chubu)/Kansai, Fukuoka) to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, and from Narita to Da Nang.
