AUTHENTIC JAPAN, operator of the search service “Kokoheri,” and Ajinomoto will hold Fuji climbing safety awareness activities near the 5th station rest area of the Yoshida Route. The campaign will run from August 1 to September 10.
Fuji, which will be visited by many climbers this summer, AUTHENTIC JAPAN will provide free Kokoheli terminals, and Ajinomoto will offer amino VITAL product sample sets to those who wish to use them.
Kokoheri is a service that includes an incidental insurance policy that enables search teams to use a dedicated receiver to locate a person in distress in the mountains or at sea by lending them a transmitter upon payment of an annual membership fee.
The purpose of the free distribution for this educational campaign is to verify the effectiveness of the Yoshida Route’s mountain climbing restrictions through a demonstration experiment to determine human flow data by day and by time of day. Based on the data obtained from the verification experiment, we plan to work with Yamanashi Prefecture to identify problems, such as where and when there are high concentrations of climbers.
