Carstay and One Stop Business Center, a virtual office provider, will launch a car sharing service for “Remote Worker Car,” a vehicle jointly developed by the two companies today, August 20. The car sharing service will be launched first for One Stop Business Center members, with the aim of launching the service for Carstay members by the end of the year.
The Remote Work Car is an office and overnight vehicle for entrepreneurs and freelancers that is both a “mobile office” and a “mobile hotel. The car is equipped with a pop-up roof that can be lifted up to expand the space inside the car for overnight stays in a tent, air conditioning that can be used without turning on the engine, a movable sub-monitor, and a large-capacity battery.
Based on the White House Bitz Compass, Carstay’s independently developed “SAny.VAN” camper, the interior is inspired by earth colors such as sky, forest, sea, and earth. It creates an environment where people can travel and work more freely without being restricted by time or place.
Fees start at 25,000 yen for 24 hours (excluding insurance and system usage fees). Satellite Internet “Starlink” can be added as an option. Reservations can be made through the official Carstay website.
