JR companies will offer ticket changes and refunds without charge in response to the impact of Typhoon No. 10. Affected tickets and periods are as follows.
Tickets valid from August 25 to 29 that arrive at, depart from, or pass through any station on conventional lines, the Sanyo Shinkansen, and the Hokuriku Shinkansen (Tsuruga to Joetsu Myoko) (including tickets used for the same journey).
Tickets that arrive at, depart from, or pass through stations on conventional lines that are valid from August 25 to 29 (including tickets used for the same itinerary)
Tickets valid from August 25 to 29 that arrive at, depart from, or pass through stations on conventional lines, the Kyushu Shinkansen, and the West Kyushu Shinkansen (including tickets used for the same itinerary).
Tickets valid from August 27 to 31 that arrive at, depart from, or pass through any station on conventional lines and the Tokaido Shinkansen (including tickets used for the same itinerary)
East Japan Railway Company
Tickets valid from August 25 to 31 that arrive at, depart from, or pass through any station on conventional lines, as well as the Tohoku Shinkansen, Joetsu Shinkansen, and Hokuriku Shinkansen (Tokyo to Joetsu Myoko) (including tickets used on the same journey).
All of these procedures can be completed within one year of the boarding date at any JR station that has a ticket office. If you are using Internet reservations (Express Reservation, Smart EX, e5489, JR Kyushu Net Reservation, or Ekinatto), you will need to operate and check your smartphone or other device yourself. For some tickets, such as travel tickets, please contact the travel agency from which you purchased the ticket.
