JAL and Oriental Land will launch the “JAL Fantastic Journey Express,” a specially painted aircraft, in late October. The aircraft is a Boeing 767-300ER (registration code: JA622J) with 5 first class seats, 42 class J seats, and 205 regular seats.
The design is inspired by Fantasy Springs, the eighth theme port of Tokyo DisneySea, which opened on June 6. The design depicts Anna and Elsa from Frozen Kingdom, Rapunzel from Rapunzel Forest, Peter Pan from Peter Pan’s Neverland, and the theme port logo on the fuselage.
The backgrounds of Arendelle Castle, Rapunzel’s Tower, and Captain Hook’s Jolly Roger, which are the symbolic locations of each new theme port, are depicted to express the “Disney fantasy world led by a magical fountain” throughout the aircraft.
In-flight headrest covers and paper cups are also specially designed. In addition, passengers will receive one of three stickers to commemorate their flight. The in-flight melodies played during boarding and disembarkation will also include “You Can Fly, Too! and the Fantasy Springs theme song “Journey to Fantasy Springs.
The specially painted aircraft will operate on domestic routes from late October through November 2025. The main routes will be Haneda, Shin-Chitose, Itami, Hiroshima, Fukuoka, Kagoshima, and Naha. Details, including specific routes and flight numbers, will be released on JAL’s website in the evening of the day before the flight.
