JAL announced information on flight cancellations due to the approach of Typhoon No. 10 at 11:00 a.m. on August 27. The next information is scheduled around 16:00.
On the 27th, 39 domestic flights to/from Kagoshima, Kikaijima, Amami Oshima, Tokunoshima, Yoron, etc. were cancelled. International flights were unaffected.
On the 28th, 77 domestic flights to/from Tajima, Kagoshima, Tanegashima, Yakushima, Kikaijima, Amami-Oshima, Tokunoshima, etc. were cancelled. Six international flights, from Kansai International Airport to Bangkok, Kansai International Airport to Pudong (Shanghai), and from Centrair to Pudong, have also been canceled.
For flights expected to be affected by the typhoon (August 27-29), changes (transfers) and refunds will be accepted without charge. Please check the “Flight Status Information” on the official website for the applicable airports.
