Cathay Pacific Airways will hold an event “Welcome to the Suites in the Sky” from September 13 to 15 to commemorate the 65th anniversary of its flight service to Japan. The venue is the atrium in the Galleria on the first basement floor of Tokyo Midtown (9-7-1 Akasaka, Minato-ku, Tokyo), which is directly connected to Roppongi Station.
Cathay Pacific Airways first operated the Haneda – Hong Kong route in 1959. Currently, Cathay Pacific operates more than 16 daily flights to Hong Kong from six airports in five cities: Narita, Haneda, Kansai, Centrair (Chubu), Fukuoka, and Shin-Chitose (Sapporo).
The event will feature a display introducing the company’s 65-year history and past uniforms of cabin attendants. In addition, visitors can enjoy participatory activities such as a mini-theater that allows them to immersive experience the atmosphere of the new business class “Aria Suite,” which will be introduced on the company’s Boeing 777-300ER aircraft by the end of this year.
At the members-only lounge experience corner, visitors can taste “illy,” an Italian espresso coffee brand and “Jing Tea,” a British high-end tea brand offered on board and in the lounge, along with “egg tarts,” a typical Hong Kong sweet.
Visitors who visit the four corners and complete the stamps will be eligible to participate in a gacha (a prize-giving game) where they will be able to win original Cathay goods.
