JAL and HAC (Hokkaido Air System) will release wooden planes for HAC’s ATR 42-600 aircraft on August 31.
It was designed by Kenji Yamamoto, a creator involved in a wood growing project in the southern Hokkaido region, and belongs to the “HOKKAIDO WOOD” brand of Hokkaido wood products, which promotes the recycling of forest resources.
The model plane measures 24 x 25 x 6 cm (W x L x H, not including the base) and features designs of tourist attractions and landmarks of Sapporo and Hakodate, HAC’s destinations, on the base (available in two types).
It will be sold at the “Sky Shop Okadama” on the 2nd floor of the Sapporo Okadama Airport Building from early September, and at various events such as “Hakodate Airport Festa ’24” (August 31), “Sapporo Okadama Airport Hangar Festival” (September 1), and “Sora Fest in Kushiro Airport 2024” (September 8). The products will also be sold at various events such as “Sapporo Okadama Airport Hangar Festival” (September 1) and “Sora Fest in Kushiro Airport 2024” (September 8).
