At the preliminary opening of Grand Green Osaka, the core facility “JAM BASE” and commercial facilities “Shops & Restaurants” in the North District and the lawn plaza in the South District will open at the same time.
The Umekita 2nd phase area is located north of JR Osaka Station, the largest terminal station in western Japan. It is a redevelopment project on the site of the former Umeda-Kita Yard, and follows Grand Front Osaka, which opened in 2013.
The total area of the Umekita Phase 2 “Grand Green Osaka” is approximately 91,150 m2, and is a large-scale complex development district with a total project cost of approximately 600 billion yen, centered on “Umekita Park,” which boasts 45,000 m2, the largest urban park in the world directly connected to the station, and includes the South and North Urban Areas.
The south wing, which will house commercial facilities, offices, and a hotel, is scheduled to open in the spring of 2025, and the entire town will open in 2027.
