AEON Retail will renovate the entire AEON Imabari store and open it as Soyora Imabari Umakoshi (4-8-1 Umakoshi-machi, Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture) in mid-November.
The AEON Imabari store opened in 1999 as Imabari Saty and was renamed in 2011. In June of this year, a large hotel opened in the adjacent area. In anticipation of a more lively neighborhood, the store will be renovated into a new business category, “Soyora,” adding the name “Umagoe,” which is well-known in the community.
Soyora is the name of an urban shopping center derived from “Sora, drop by and have fun! is the name of an urban shopping center. Soyora Imabari Umakoshi will be the first of its kind in the Chugoku and Shikoku area. AEON STYLE Imabari Umakoshi will be the core store, with 27 specialty stores scheduled to open.
