On September 20, Combi announced the commercialization of its first “original stroller” for home use, modeled after the bullet train popular with small children, and that it would be sold through the “BabyCal Official Online Store” newly established and operated by JR East Japan Planning Co.
The lineup consists of three types: “Series E5 Hayabusa,” “Series E7 Kagayaki,” and “Type 923 Doctor Yellow,” each priced at 47,000 yen (limited to 500 units each). Each model is based on Combi’s “Acbee plus MA,” which is a B-type stroller that can be used from around 7 months to 4 years of age. The company will announce the sales schedule as soon as it is confirmed.
Baby Car is a service that allows customers to rent strollers at stations and commercial facilities for as little as one hour, with the E5 Series Hayabusa model introduced in 2023 and the E7 Series KAGAYAKI model introduced in March 2024. Currently, the company offers A-type strollers that can be used from one month to three years of age, but many people have expressed their expectations for B-type strollers, such as “As children get older, their interest in the Shinkansen increases, so we want strollers with specifications that can be used for a longer period of time. This led to the commercialization of three types of strollers, including the popular “Type 923 Doctor Yellow.
In the future, advance notice will be sent to registered members of the BabyCal website, and a purchase form will be sent to those who apply for the advance notice.
