The Ainu People’s Culture Foundation will launch the “Enjoy Hokkaido with Golden Kamui! supported by Upopoi” campaign in collaboration with the anime “Golden Kamui” from October 8 to March 30, 2025.
In the Poster Rally, participants will travel around the campaign area in Hokkaido and visit 10 different campaign posters collaborating with Golden Kamuy. By scanning the 2D code on each poster, you can get an original wallpaper of the area’s limited characters for your smartphone and also check out the tourist information of that area.
The target areas are Sapporo (Saichi Sugimoto), Otaru (Asilipa), Hakodate (Ensign Koito), Noboribetsu (Sergeant Tsukishima), Shiraoi (Hyakunosuke Ogata), Hiratori (Genjiro Tanigaki), Asahikawa (Lieutenant Tsurumi), Abashiri (Yoshitake Shiraishi), Akan (Toshizo Hijikata) and Upoi (ethnic coexistence symbolic space) (Sugimoto, Asilipa and Shiraishi).
By taking a picture of the campaign poster, following the official X account (@kamuyhokkaidocp), and posting the picture with the designated hashtag “#Let’s enjoy Hokkaido with Golden Kamuy”, 170 people will be selected by lottery to win an Abashiri seafood set, a Biratori Wagyu sirloin steak, an Akan Pork Gift” and “Otaru Sweets + Upopoi 1-day ticket voucher” will be offered to 170 winners.
In addition, a sightseeing map in collaboration with Golden Kamuy is available at tourist information centers in each area. The sightseeing map will be available as a digital pamphlet on a special website, although it will be closed when the planned number of copies are sold out.
At Upopoi (2-3 Wakakusa-cho, Shiraoi-cho, Shiraoi-gun, Hokkaido), visitors will receive an original Golden Kamui can badge when they present one of the original wallpapers for smartphones they have obtained in the 10 areas in Annex 3 of the museum’s Experience Learning Center. In addition, visitors will receive a Golden Kamui original sticker if they attend a “traditional arts screening,” “bow and arrow experience ‘Akushinot,'” “Mukkuri experience,” and “Ohau tasting experience. The first series will run from October 8 to December 28, and the second series from January 4 to March 30, 2025, with different designs.
