Tokyu Corporation and Tokyu Corporation began operation of the “Minami-Machida Granbury Park” Snoopy wrapped train on October 7, commemorating the 5th anniversary of the opening of Minami-Machida Granbury Park and the 75th anniversary of the birth of the PEANUTS comic strip.
Minami-Machida Granbury Park consists of Minami-Machida Granbury Park Station on the Denentoshi Line, the outlet commercial complex Granbury Park, Tsuruma Park, and Park Life Site (Snoopy Museum). Developed through a public-private partnership between Tokyu and Machida City, it will celebrate its 5th anniversary on November 13, 2024.
The entire car body will depict Snoopy and his friends having fun on the train, creating a heart-pounding excitement. Inside the train will be information about Minami-Machida Granberry Park, including how to enjoy each scene at Granberry Park, recommended stores and products, and how to have fun at the Snoopy Museum.
The theme will be “Happy Holidays” for the winter season from October to February, “Picnic (tentative)” for the spring season from March to May, and “Adventure (tentative)” for the summer season from June to September, with a different interior design for each season.
Other anniversary year projects include the “Minami-Machida Granbury Park Report,” which offers recommendations for spending time at Minami-Machida Granbury Park, and a special website linked to social networking services.
