On October 8, JR East decided on the name “OIMACHI TRACKS” for the “Oimachi Station Area Hiromachi District Development (tentative name),” which will include the JR East Group’s first service residences and out-mall commercial facilities for the opening of the town in March 2026.
In the “Greater Shinagawa Area,” the south area of Tokyo around Hamamatsucho, Tamachi, Takanawa Gateway, Shinagawa, and Oimachi, urban development centered on each station is being promoted.
Oimachi TRAKS will consist of two main buildings, BUSINESS TOWER (office tower) and HOTEL & RESIDENCE TOWER (hotel and residential tower), a pedestrian deck connecting JR Oimachi Station to the new Shinagawa Ward Office Building and three plazas (TRAKS PARK, CROSS PLAZA, STATION PLAZA) will also be provided.
In cooperation with Shinagawa Ward, the company has secured space indoors for approximately 3,000 people who have difficulty returning home, and has stockpiled provisions for 72-hour stays.
