On October 15, Poketalk announced the “Poketalk S2,” the first new model of its AI interpretation terminal Poketalk in five years, which will go on sale on October 17.

The new model has a function that automatically recognizes which of two pre-selected languages is spoken and performs automatic two-way translation. The communication coverage area has been expanded to more than 170 countries and regions, and battery life has been improved.

The Pocket Talk S2 is priced at 36,300 yen and the larger Pocket Talk S2 Plus at 39,930 yen.

In addition, a TV commercial starring actor Yo Oizumi will be aired from November 1.
