Tokyo Skytree Town (1-1 Oshiage, Sumida-ku, Tokyo) will hold Christmas seasonal events from November 1 to December 25. The illumination and lighting will begin on November 7.
This year, for the first time, “Staircase Graphical Lighting” will light up the staircases of “Solamizaka” and “Hanamizaka” with LED graphical lighting. In addition to the three types of regular lighting of the Tokyo Sky Tree, “Iki”, “Miyabi”, and “Nobori”, there will be two types of limited-time lighting: the “Champagne Tree”, which resembles the Tokyo Sky Tree as a Christmas tree, and the “Candle Tree”, which resembles a candle.
The entire Tokyo Skytree Town will be illuminated with approximately 500,000 twinkling lights. The main venue, Sky Arena, will feature a 4-meter-high objet d’art “twinkle three stars” of Sorakara-chan and other girls, an 8-meter-high Christmas tree with a winter-like snow-covered design, and a “Pegasus Carriage” objet d’art in cooperation with JRA Nakayama Horse Racing Course The “Pegasus Carriage,” a sculpture made with the cooperation of JRA Nakayama Racecourse, will also be set up. Visitors can enjoy taking commemorative photos as a photo spot.
At the annual Sky Arena “Christmas Market,” a 4-meter-long giant Stollen will appear in a luxurious hutte decorated with monuments imported from Germany, adding to the Christmas spirit. Warm gourmet foods, drinks, and Christmas goods will also be on sale.
At the Tokyo Skytree Observation Deck, visitors can meet “Sorakara-chan” in a limited Christmas costume, enjoy a photo service during the Christmas period, and enjoy a Christmas love song live performance by artists such as Hana*Hana, tonun, and Yo Yo.
Other Christmas events will be held at various locations in the town, including Tokyo Solamachi, Konica Minolta Planetarium Tenku in Tokyo Skytree Town, and the Museum of Posts and Telecommunications.
