Meitetsu Bus announced that it will introduce credit card touch payment on all “Centrair Limousine” services connecting Fushimi/Sakae area and Centrair (Central Japan) from November 1.
In conjunction with the fare revision, the current fare (1,500 yen for adults and 750 yen for children) will be raised to 2,000 yen for adults and 1,000 yen for children.
When using the system, touch the card to the terminal when boarding and when exiting the train. If more than one person is using the system, it is necessary to inform the driver in advance.
Eligible cards include Visa, JCB, American Express, Diners Club, Discover, and UnionPay cards with the touch payment mark, including debit cards and linked smartphones.
In addition, as part of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism’s “Fully Cashless Bus Demonstration Operation,” the number of buses will be increased from the current seven round trips to eight round trips from November 1 to February 28, 2025. One round trip (departing from Nagoya Kanko Hotel at 11:57 a.m. and from Centrair 1 Tami at 12:40 p.m.) will be completely cashless, so cash payment will not be accepted on board.
