On October 23, Sendai Terminal Building held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new hotel at the west exit of Sendai Station, and announced that it will be named Hotel Metropolitan Base Sendai, the third Metropolitan in Sendai under the JR Hotel Group brand.
Hotel Metropolitan Base Sendai (1-1-1 Chuo, Aoba-ku, Sendai City) has a total of 56 rooms on 9 floors above ground. There are four room types: double (19m2), twin (28m2), force (54m2), and universal (54m2). All rooms have separate bathrooms, toilets, and sinks, and spacious rooms are also available to meet the needs of inbound travelers, families, and groups, as well as long stays for business and sightseeing.
The second through ninth floors will be guestroom floors, and the first floor will feature an all-day dining room and other facilities.
