Keio Corporation will conduct a verification experiment of a ride service using touch-sensitive cards (credit, debit, and prepaid cards), smartphones with the cards installed, and QR codes at all stations from November 6, 2012.
The verification experiment has been conducted since March 2024 at some stations and at cable cars and lifts operated by the Keio Group’s Takaotozan Railway, and will now be expanded to cover all stations.
Temporary ticket gates at Shinjuku, Roka Koen, Nakagawara, and Keio-Tamagawa stations are not included. The service is limited to Keio Electric Railway lines, and is not available on other companies’ lines that operate a mutual direct service.
In addition to the “Digital Mt. Takao Ticket” currently on sale, the “Keio Line and Inokashira Line One-Day Pass” will go on sale at the smartphone-only TAMa-GO E-ticket website from November 6 at 10:00. The ticket can be used by passing the QR code displayed after purchase over the special reader at the applicable ticket gate.
