NEXCO Central Japan begins accepting entries for the 18th “Expressway and Scenery Photo Contest. 100,000 yen gift certificate for the Grand Prize.

NEXCO Central Japan has begun accepting entries for the 18th “Expressway and Scenery Photo Contest.

This is a project to rediscover the charms of expressways and areas along them through photography, and anyone can participate, regardless of whether they are professionals or amateurs. Entries can be submitted for Theme 1, “Expressways and Seasonal Scenery,” and Theme 2, “Your Favorite Scenery,” and must be postmarked between October 28 and August 31, 2025. The results will be announced in October 2025.

In Theme 1, the Grand Prize winner (1) will receive a 100,000 yen gift certificate, the four Excellence Award winners (4) will receive 50,000 yen, the five Honorable Mention Award winners (5) will receive 10,000 yen, and the five Honorable Mention Award winners (5) will receive 5,000 yen. In Theme 2, the four Excellence Award winners will receive 50,000 yen worth of gift certificates, the two Honorable Mention Award winners will receive 10,000 yen worth of gift certificates, and the two Honorable Mention Award winners will receive 5,000 yen worth of gift certificates.

On October 28, the results of the photo contest for 2024, the 17th year of the contest, were announced. Among a total of 426 entries under two themes, Yuma Iwasaki’s “Cherry Blossoms Ahead” (E1A Shin-Tomei Expressway, Ashigarakami-gun, Kanagawa Prefecture) and Akira Kuramoto’s “Dignity” (E8 Hokuriku Expressway near Kinomoto IC) were selected for the Grand Prize.
