RNT Hotels, operator of Richmond Hotel, will reopen Richmond Hotel Sendai (1-4-4 Kakyoin, Aoba-ku, Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture), which has been closed since August, on December 28.

In the main building (former main floor) for leisure and inbound customers, a “family lounge” and “kids’ space” will be newly established. 9 rooms will be opened on the 10th floor “sauna floor” after 2025. In the annex (former Comfort Floor) for business use, a comfortable stay will be provided in a separate space from the leisure and family customers. A “business lounge” is planned to be opened after 2025 as a work space before and after check-in.

The 10-story building has a total of 272 guest rooms (184 in the main building and 88 in the annex). A variety of room types are available, from single rooms to relaxing twin rooms for up to four people, and the fabrics in the rooms are green in color to reflect the “City of Trees, Sendai.

For the renewal, the new concept is “Sendai “Shikkaku” Style,” and the interior and artwork are made of local materials such as zelkova, Akiuishi stone, Shiraishi Japanese paper, and Sendai-daira, to create a space where you can feel Sendai and Miyagi while staying at the hotel. The hotel will create a space where guests can feel Sendai and Miyagi while staying at the hotel.

Royal Host Sendai Kakyoin, located on the first floor, will be temporarily closed from October 14 to November 10, November 15 to 18, and November 25 to December 5 due to facility and renovation work.
