Takatsuki City, Osaka Prefecture, will release commemorative tickets on November 16 to celebrate the opening of the Kansai Shogi Kaikan and the 70th anniversary of the city bus service.
The Kansai Shogi Kaikan was relocated from Fukushima-ku, Osaka City to Takatsuki, the “City of Shogi,” and opened as a new hall on December 3. The commemorative tickets include four 220-yen regular tickets depicting four Takatsuki City-related professionals, Bungo Fukuzaki 9-dan, Masahiko Urano 8-dan, Yuta Komori 5-dan and Kiyosumi Kiriyama 9-dan, one “All-Line 1-day Ticket,” which allows unlimited rides on all city bus lines, and an A4-sized special mount, all enclosed in a special clear file, for 2000 yen per set. The ticket is enclosed in a special clear file and sold for 2,000 yen per set (limited to 2,000 sets). The ticket is valid from November 16 to November 15, 2025.
It will be sold in advance at a special sales booth at the Takatsuki Shogi Festival on November 16 (in Yasumitsu Ruins Park), and will be on regular sale at the JR Takatsuki Station South Information Center from the following day, November 17.
