JR West revised the redemption rate of “WESTER points” for online reservations for Shinkansen and limited express trains using the “J-WEST Card” to a maximum of 5%.
JR West online reservation “e5489” will be applied from December 16, and “Express Reservation” and “Smart EX” will be applied from December 14.
For example, if you use the EX reservation service/IC with a J-WEST card, a regular season Nozomi ordinary car reserved seat between Shin-Osaka and Hakata costs 15,640 yen. If you use J-WEST Gold Card, you can get an additional 0.5% reduction.
In addition, a new benefit of up to 10,000 points will be offered to new J-WEST cardholders who enroll and use the J-WEST card from December 1.
Apply for a J-WEST Card from the card application screen and receive a new card. Log in to the application with the WESTER ID shown on the back of the issued J-WEST Card, and enter the application by the third month including the month of enrollment to receive the benefits.
Redemption points are 2000 points for new members, 4000 points for Gold Card members, 3000 points for those who spend more than 90,000 yen by the third month after enrollment, and 6000 points for Gold Card users.
