In response to a request from the government of the Republic of Cuba for assistance for damage caused by Hurricane Rafael, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will provide emergency relief supplies as follows.

In the Republic of Cuba, Hurricane Oscar made landfall (late October) around the time of Hurricane Rafael’s landfall on November 6, and a strong M6.8 earthquake (November 10) occurred in the southeast of the country, causing extensive human and material damage in the affected areas.
