Sanrio will commemorate the 50th anniversary of “My Melody” and the 20th anniversary of “Kuromi” in 2025 with a special project under the theme of “Together, we are much cuter” even though we are opposites.
From December 12, “My Melody Cafe ~Heartful Party~” will open in Tokyo, Osaka, Aichi, and Miyagi sequentially for a limited time prior to My Melody’s birthday in January. The menu is based on the My Melody theme of “delivering a handsome thank you from My Melody” and is specially designed with pink as the base color. Goods using the original design and special offers will also be available. More details can be found on the special website released today.
From January 10, 2025, “MY MELODY ♡ KUROMI ANNIVERSARY PARTY,” a special exhibition of My Melody and Kuromi, will tour five PARCO stores nationwide. The theme of the exhibition is “A Celebration Party for Two,” and visitors will be able to experience as if they were invited to a “Melo-Clo” party, starting with the Ikebukuro venue, followed by Sapporo, Sendai, Nagoya, and Shinsaibashi. Details will be announced on the official PARCO ART website in mid-December.
Anniversary events will also be held at Sanrio Puroland (1-31 Ochiai, Tama City, Tokyo) and Sanrio Character Park Harmonyland (5933 Fujiwara, Hidemi-gun, Oita Prefecture).
