Kasumigaseki Capital will open “FAV LUX Kagoshima Tenmonkan” (7-30 Yamanokuchi-cho, Kagoshima City, Kagoshima Prefecture) on December 13.
Located in Kagoshima’s downtown Temmonkan district. The 63 guest rooms are designed in nude colors with wood-toned furniture and orange chairs as accents. The open windows offer a panoramic view of Sakurajima and Kagoshima Bay.
Guests can choose from a total of 11 types of rooms, including a suite with sauna on the 12th floor and a room with sauna “SAUNAGE” supervised by Mikie Sasano, daughter of “Sauna Shiji” and a sauna total producer.
A private sauna for up to 8 people is available on the first floor of the hotel. In addition to a hybrid Finnish and Morris style sauna, it is equipped with a 90-cm-deep water bath and a terrace for outdoor air bathing. The design of the two rooms are “Sakurajima,” with its black base color and powerful atmosphere, and “Kirishima,” with its beautiful gradation from blue-gray to deep blue. These saunas can also be used by those who are not staying overnight for a drop-in visit.
THE ROOF, a rooftop bar and bistro on the 13th floor of the hotel, is available all day from morning (for guests only) to dinner. The bar can be enjoyed for any occasion, from aperitifs to after-dinner cocktails, not to mention meals. The menu will be supervised by Chef Tomohiro Nakano, who is also the chef of French bistro “eau,” yakitori oden “Daiwon,” and bakery “na.
